Paul Kahn

A Tribute by Patrick Foye M.D.

Paul Kahn

Paul Kahn, age 64, passed away January 1, 2010, of respiratory causes.

Paul was featured in the December 2000 issue of the MDA's "Quest" magazine, as an adult with myotubular / centronuclear myopathy (presumed autosomal recessive MTM / CNM). His brother had died at 9-years-old from respiratory complications of MTM.

Despite Paul needing a wheelchair for most of his life and a trachestomy since his 40's, he was a successful writer and playwright, and said, "I'm able to be out in the world, and work and play, and do all the things that people do."

Paul was an inspiration and will be missed by all of us.
